Academic Writing

I taught Academic Writing in Spring 2017, and I currently plan to make this a more frequent course offering. The course is a combined undergraduate/graduate course taught as part of the department’s Studies in Writing series. The course guides students through beginning an academic project they plan to publish or revising a previous academic course paper for publication. The course required students to investigate potential publication venues, choose one appropriate to their work and their writing goals, and then meet with me regularly to discuss progress toward their publication goal.
